N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The names have been released in the fatal rollover that occurred six miles north of Jamestown on Tuesday, November 24th.
According to Sgt. Kennelly with the North Dakota Highway Patrol, 16 year-old Baylee Stoppleworth of Kensal and 16 year-old Marci Olsen of Jamestown were traveling northbound on Highway 20 at around 7:35 AM. Stoppleworth lost control of the vehicle on the frost-covered roadway, causing the vehicle to enter the ditch and roll.
Both were transported to the JRMC for medical treatment. Stoppleworth died at the hospital. She was not wearing her seatbelt, but Olsen was wearing hers.
