N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that no one was injured after wind caused a semi to roll onto its side near the Highway 52 Bypass in Jamestown.

Twenty-eight-year-old George Hunnel of Rosemount, MN was traveling southbound through a wide valley area on the bypass west of Jamestown at around 9:24 Wednesday night. After crossing the bridge, a strong gust of wind pushed the trailer to the left, lifting the right side tires off the road. The truck and trailer rolled onto its left side and came to rest in a ditch.

Hunnel was cited for failing to use caution while driving in adverse weather. Winds were blowing at 45 MPH with 57 MPH wind gusts. Damages are estimated at $75,000 and the incident remains under investigation.
