N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It was a slightly thin week of calls for the Jamestown Fire Department between November 5th and 12th.
Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther released the latest run report for the department, which includes several calls to investigation fire alarm activation.
Once incident saw the department responding to a motor vehicle accident when they had to remove a tree branch so a person could be removed from a vehicle. Read about that and more in the full run report below.
November 5th, 1:04PM, fire department heavy rescue unit responded to 300 block of 17th Ave SW, to a report of a motor vehicle accident. Firefighters removed a tree branch so a person could be removed from the vehicle. No firefighter injuries were reported. Time out 20 minutes.
November 6th, 10:20AM, ready squad responded to 711 10th St NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-water flow alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.
November 6th, 11:49AM, ready squad responded to 615 10th St NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-water flow alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 20 minutes.
November 7th, 4:41PM, ready squad responded to 310 1st Ave North, Hugo’s Grocery, to investigate a smoke smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 25 minutes.
