N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Work has continued on the oldest standing courthouse in the state and the States Historical Society of North Dakota hope to have it done in 2016.

Historic Sites Manager Guinn Hinman pointed out that the group has been working on the Stutsman County Courthouse for 30 years. She stated that current work has been small, but has made a big difference.

Other work includes the clock tower and elevator. Hinman stated that an open house is being planned for May 2016 for individuals interested in seeing the ongoing renovations.

You can follow along with the renovations on their Facebook site by clicking here. The court house was built in 1883 and was put on the National Registry in 1976.
