Carrington defeated the Larimore Polar Bears 28-14 at Stadium ’76 in Carrington to move on in the class A 11-man playoffs next week. The Cardinals will host defending state champion & top ranked Park River-FL next Saturday at 2:00. 

The second rated Cardinals got on the board early in the first quarter with a 7 yard TD run by Cole Ferguson. That would be the score heading to halftime as well. Ferguson would add a 46 yard TD run with 7:42 to play in the third quarter to give the Cardinals a 14-0 lead with Connor Wendel adding the 2 point conversion. Less than 2 minutes later Walker Carr intercepted a Jacob Tupa pass & returned it 65 yards for another Cardinal score & led 22-0. Connor Wendel only threw 2 passes on the day but made the second one count as he connected with Jacob Fandrich for a 17 yard touchdown early in the 4th quarter to give Carrington a 28-0 lead. 

Larimore scored a pair of late TD’S on an 11yd TD run & 11 yd TD reception to Royce Verkuehlen from Tupa.

Ferguson rushed for 159 yards on 16 carries with the pair of TD’S to lead the Cardinals offensively. Carrington finished with 284 total yards to Larimore’s 254. Tupa threw for 146 yards completing passes to 7 different receivers but was picked off 3 times,
