CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Congregational United Church of Christ in Valley City’s annual Chuck Wagon Dinner will be held Saturday, October 31st starting at 11am. The public is welcome to attend.

Earlier this month church members opened up a 100 year old time capsule on October 11 and found several newspapers from 1915, one story talked about the war in Europe which became World War I.

There were several photos of church members including former N.D. Governor Frank White who also served as U.S. Treasurer under Presidents Harding and Coolidge. White was instrumental in getting the current church built in 1915.

Pastor Dr. David Hartson said the church will place a number of new items into a new time capsule box and resealed it into the cornerstone on Monday, November 2.

Church trustee Dean Pedersen said the contents of the time capsule will be on display during the annual Congregational United Church of Christ Chuck Wagon dinner on Saturday, October 31 starting at 11am.
