N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The annual University of Jamestown Trick-or-Can event held on Tuesday, October 27th set a new record.

Student Senator Carley Ward stated that the teams that participated in this year’s event brought in 3,192 food items from numerous Jamestown residents during the drive. Teams went door to door asking for cans and non-perishable food items.

All food raised will be donated to Community Action Region IV. Coordinator at Community Action Jamestown Sarah Oberlander said that this annual event is a huge benefit to the community. Last year’s record was 2,612 items.
