N.D. (NewsDakota.com) In the last game of the year for both teams, the Titans roll past the Braves 61-22 last Saturday afternoon in a AA West matchup in North Dakota High School football. Central Dakota ends the year at 3-4 in the division and 4-5 overall, the Titans finish in fifth place and were just one win away from making the playoffs this year. The Belcourt Braves finish at 0-7 and 0-9 overall.
A total of 12 touchdowns were scored, nine by the Titans. Senior Captain and tight end Sean Perry of Central Dakota scored two touchdowns and threw for another. Senior Quarterback Jayden Grover threw for a touchdown, ran for a touchdown and caught a touchdown for the Titans. About five minutes into the game, Perry scored his first touchdown of the day rushing in from 41 yards out for the score. Later in the second quarter, on a double reverse play, Perry would connect with Grover for a 54 yard touchdown reception. Perry would get his second rushing touchdown in the third quarter from 12 yards out. Grover rushed in from 25 yards in the first quarter and connected with Wide Receiver David Fletcher early in the second quarter for an 18-yard touchdown reception.
Senior linemen and captains Joe Vollmer and Jordan Johnson also ran in for a touchdown each, both from inside the 10 yard line. Sophomore kicker Tabitha Muncy was three for four in extra point attempts.
