Jamestown Fire Department Releases Run Information For October 2nd – 15th

N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After an extremely busy weekend helping the Jamestown Rural Fire Department, the City Fire Department has released their run report for the beginning half of October.

According to Fire Chief Jim Ruether, this year has seen 223 total calls. The busiest day out of the current report was October 11th, with 5 separate incidents that were responded to. You can view the full report below.

Call No. 209 October 2nd, 6:28PM, ready squad responded to 502 24th St SW, My Place Hotel, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.

Call No. 210 October 5th, 10:30AM, ready squad responded to 2008 2nd Place NE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate smell of odor. Firefighters checked the structure nothing was detected. Cause-possible sewer smell from floor drain. Time out 55 minutes.

Call No. 211 October 5th, 1:25PM, ready squad responded to 314 Business Loop West, Mister Money, to investigate smell of odor. Firefighters checked the structure nothing was detected. Cause-possible sewer smell from floor drain. Time out 25 minutes.

Call No. 212 October 6th, 9:56AM, ready squad responded to 904 5th Ave NE, Sanford Health, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 10 minutes.

Call No. 213 October 6th, 10:50PM, ready squad responded to 1513 Gardenette Drive #1, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate smell of odor. Firefighters checked the structure nothing was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 35 minutes.

Call No. 214 October 7th, 9:42AM, ready squad responded to 318 11th St SW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause-Unknown. Time out 15 minutes.

Call No. 215 October 11th, 3:02AM, ready squad responded to 2317 Circle Drive, NDSH-Chapel, to a report of smoke. Firefighters requested a full department response for additional help.

Call No. 216 October 11th, 3:07AM, fire department responded to 2317 Circle Drive, NDSH-Chapel, to a report of smoke. Firefighters checked the structure no smoke was detected. Cause-broken steam pipe. No injuries reported. Time out 35 minutes.

Call No. 217 October 11th, 2:06PM, fire department responded to the City Baler, to a report of a grass fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-unknown. No injuries reported. Time out 55 minutes.

Call No. 218 October 11th, 2:04PM, Jamestown Fire Department provide mutual aid to the Jamestown Rural Fire Department assisting them with 2 grass fire. No injuries reported. Time out 3 hours.

Call No. 219 October 12th, 10:07AM, ready squad responded to 528 3rd Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Time out 15 minutes.
Call No. 220 October 13th, 3:17PM, ready squad responded to 715 3rd Ave SE, Multi family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-power outage. Fire alarm was reset after the power came back on. Time out 20 minutes.

Call No. 222 October 14th, 1:20PM, ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, NDSH-Lahaug Building, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-water flow alarm activated. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.

Call No. 223 October 15th, 8:03AM, ready squad responded to 2430 20th St SW, Essentia Health, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-annual testing. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.
