N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Cruising across Interstate 94, the N.D. Cowboy Hall of Fame will hold its first-ever “Homesteading: From East to West” benefit dinner and auction on Saturday, October 17th. The event will be held at the North Dakota State University Alumni Center in Fargo.

The host and keynote speaker will be NDSU Bison Nation graduate Esley Thorton, one of the outstanding athletes of NDSU’s four-time national college championship teams.

Open to the public beginning at 5:00 pm a social hour, prime rib buffet and live auction are planned. Dinner program begins at 6:45 pm. Seating is limited, so reservations should be made early with the NDCHF in Medora.

Pre-dinner entertainment will be provided by western country singer/ song writer Greg Hager of Valley City and cowboy poet-musician Shadd Piehl of Bismarck.

The premiere item for this event’s live auction will be a large bison sculpture by North Dakota artist Arnie Addicott. The art piece has been branded – NDSU: Four-time NCAA National Football Champions, 2011-2014.

There will be a variety of premium cowboy, Native American, and western-theme auction items as part of the fund-raising effort.
