Huber, age 75, of Sibley, ND, died Saturday, October 10th at Sanford Health Palliative Care Unit in Fargo, ND.  A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 14th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church near Dazey, ND.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday evening at the church.  Interment will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery.

Janice Marie Discher, the daughter of Richard and Grace (Schimming) Discher, was born April 4, 1940 at Woods, ND.  Janice grew up and attended school in the Woods, ND area.  After receiving her education, she began working as a waitress at various locations.  On June 30, 1958 she married Conrad Huber at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Valley City.  The couple then lived and worked on a farm for a time before moving to Fargo, ND in 1961.  Janice became a foster mother while living in Fargo where she took care of 45 children in three years.  She then worked as a waitress at several restaurants in Fargo before her retirement in 1996.  After her retirement, she and Conrad moved to a lake home on Lake Ashtabula in Sibley, ND where she enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Janice is survived by her husband Conrad, Sibley, ND; one daughter, Nancy (Dennis) Cossette, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Brent (Stephanie) Cossette, Omaha, NE and Troy (Renee) Cossette, Sauk Centre, MN; great grandchildren, Molly Grace Cossette, Tucker Irvin Cossette and Reed Louis Cossette; one brother, Lyle Discher, Minnetonka, MN; two sisters, Phyllis Crowe, Fargo, ND, and Vicky (Harlan) Kruester, Roseburg, OR.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, and five sisters, Charlotte, Judith, Marlys, Leneta and Mary Jane.
