N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Dakota Valley Electric Cooperative and Northern Plains Electric Cooperative are preparing for their annual Can & Coat Drive to help those in need.
Beginning October 1st, the co-op’s will be holding their second year of collecting winter apparel and non-perishable food items. Collection points will be set up in several locations including Edgeley, Carrington, Pingree-Buchanan, Oakes and Montpelier.
“We’re proud to have served these rural areas for more than 75 years,” said Bruce Garber, general manager. “As a thank you, we organize this Co-op Month Can & Coat Drive to help those who need it most.”
The co-ops are collecting these items at their offices in Edgeley, Milnor, Carrington and Cando. Also collecting on behalf of the co-op are groups in Rugby, Pingree-Buchanan, Oakes, Wahpeton, Hankinson and Montpelier.
