CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) More than 300 contestants from around the state competed in the North Dakota Junior High and High School Rodeos over the weekend at the North Dakota Winter Show Event Center.

Joe & Rachael Koch’s son Trenton is a Valley City High School student. Rachael said her son has done well competing in the High School Rodeo circuit. She said it’s great to have this event close to home.

NDWS Manager Dawn Riley said the event gets bigger every year. She also talked about the positive economic impact.

A number of rodeo events were held in the outdoor and indoor arenas at the North Dakota Winter Show Event Center during the North Dakota Junior High and High School Rodeos in Valley City.
