CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Two flood buyout homes were burned in Valley City on Sunday, September 20th.

Fire Chief Gary Retterath said crews worked for six hours prepping two homes for a controlled burn west of the Rainbow bridge.

Retterath said the burn took less than two hours as firefighters often use these controlled burns for training purposes every year.
