CITY (NewsDakota.com) Nate Rodriguez scored three rushing touchdowns to propel the Valley City High School football team to a convincing 44-14 victory against Dickinson Trinity on Friday night.

The second ranked Hi-Liners scored the first 28 points, and had a 28-0 lead at halftime against the third ranked Titans. Valley City (3-1, 2-0 Class A West Region) scored on their first drive with an 82 yard run by Eli Allen. Rodriguez scored roughly four minutes later, and then scored another two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

Trinity’s (3-1, 1-1 Class A West Region) two scores came from touchdown passes to Noah Sickler from Willy Jahner in the fourth quarter.
