N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown has announced that enrollment at the University is up this year.

According to their report, the total student count has increased from 963 enrolled students to 1,005 due to the addition of 297 new full-time students. The fall enrollment is a roughly 5% increase over the average of the four previous years. Growth has not only been found in enrollment, but academic programs as well. With a new mechanical engineering program, Masters of Fine Arts in Leadership and programs in Fargo, the University of Jamestown continues to see expansion.

“While enrollment is a challenging item for today’s universities, the new initiatives at the University of Jamestown have provided new opportunities and interest for our prospective families,” stated VP of Enrollment Management Michael Heitkamp.

A new hockey program will be introduced next year and upgrades to facilities around campus promise to bring in more prospective students.
