N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After the JSDC voted to table the request to pay for the SCDRC Dues in August, questions and concerns still remain.

Many issues with the SCDRC have caused concerns not only in the Stutsman County Commission, but also in the Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation. In August’s County Commission meeting, not renewing membership due to problems with a hazard mitigation plan was being considered.

JSDC Executive Director Connie Ova stated that after the JSDC decided to table the request for SCDRC dues, some things have not yet been addressed. Dues were not approved by the JSDC after the SCDRC and Stutsman County Commission were unable to reach an agreement.

Questions that were posed by Ova include deficit spending, which is currently at -$74,000. There are also questions of expense allocated for Bad Credit, how many loans have been closed and the proposal for new office space.

Stutsman County is one of nine county members of the South Central Dakota Regional Council.
