N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown’s Daily Bread program continues to grow and save more food for hungry individuals and families in the area.

In the past year, the program has rescued over 6,000 pounds of food. The program receives food donations from the University of Jamestown, Pizza Ranch, and KC Hall as well as several hotels in the area. Food that is not eaten is donated to the program, and is then distributed to area individuals. Freezers are placed throughout the city and the food is free. Some freezer locations include all public schools, James River Senior Citizens Center, and the Gardennette.

Donors of food are protected by the national Good Samaritan Law. If you’d like to donate food or make a monetary donation, you can contact Tom Geffre at 701-430-1161.
