N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City State University only rushed for 60 yards last weekend against the University of Jamestown in their 41-31 win over the Jimmies.
This weekend the VCSU offensive line opened holes and lanes for a number of Vikings running backs. As a team VCSU rushed for 298 yards and 3 touchdowns in a dominating 55-6 win over Mayville State.
Jacob Duilio had 27 attempts for 176 yards and one touchdown to lead the rushing attack.
Kurtis Walls was flawless for the second time this season at the quarterback position. Walls went 26-39 for 291 yards passing and 4 touchdowns.
DJ Edwards hauled in two touchdowns and finished with 5 receptions for 79 yards.
The Viking defense forced 2 fumbles, 2 interceptions and limited the Mayville State offense to only 94 yards rushing and 283 yards overall.
