(NewsDakota.com) After two games into the 2015 season, it’s safe to say the Oakes High School football team is still searching for an identity.
The Tornadoes are also still looking for a victory, after Larimore cruised to a 31-0 victory on Friday night.
The third ranked Polar Bears (2-0) scored two touchdowns each in the first two quarters; the first two coming on the ground, while the other two were through the air. Oakes (0-2) failed to pick up any positive yards in the first half, did not pick up a first down, and did not enter Larimore territory in the first half.
Larimore closed the door on any Oakes comeback to start the second half with a 79 yard return of the kickoff for a touchdown.
Oakes will have their first home game of the year on Friday, September 11 as they welcome Harvey/Wells County. Coverage on KDDR-AM 1220/95.9 FM and NewsDakota.com will start at 6:30, with kickoff at 7 p.m.
