N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Liner football team delivered the knockout punch early against the Lisbon Broncos on Friday night.
John Halgrimson returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for the Hi-Liners before you could blink an eye.
On the next possession Nate Rodriguez rushed for a 25 yard touchdown as Valley City increased the lead to 14-0 with 9:09 left to go in the first quarter.
Afterwards, Levi Nix would show-off his running and passing capabilities the next two drives. Nix rushed for a touchdown from eight yards out before he hit Justin Manson on a 64 yard touchdown pass, which increased Valley City’s lead to 28-0 with 2:11 left in the first quarter.
The Hi-Liners would go on to win 42-0 over the Lisbon Broncos an improve to 2-0 on the season. Lisbon is now 0-2.
