CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) The Water Treatment plant lime pit has been deeded over to the Valley City Park District.

Director Tyler Jacobson talked about a few options available to the district on how to utilize the site.

The city commission approved of a motion to deed the lime pit to the Park District on a 4 to one vote Tuesday, September 1.

Commissioner Madeline Luke voted against the motion. She said she felt the area could be a shared use area with the park district and the city.

The city is still working on filling the pit before any construction begins.
