CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) After two recent shootings of police officers, one in Houston and more in Illinois, police officers across the nation are on a heightened state of alert.

In an interview with Ingstad Family Media reporter Steve Urness Valley City Police Chief Fred Thompson said it’s difficult for police officers to meet a perfect standard.

Thompson said these police targeted shootings are terrible, but ironically there may be no public protest across America.
