AZ (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City State University started the 2015 season with a 8-26, 25-19, 27-29, 29-27 win over Arizona Christian University. 

Jaycee George had 21 digs while Kanani Auwae and Barbara Ector lead the Vikings with 11 kills apiece in game one. 

Then Benedictine of Mesa blanked VCSU in the second game 25-19, 25-21, 25-17. Ector paced the Vikings attack with 7 kills. 

VCSU plays against Embry-Riddle at 2 p.m. this afternoon and finishes the tournament against Faulkner University at 4 p.m.
