CITY, N.D. (VCSU) – The VCSU Century Club kicked off the fall sports season with a community gathering Tuesday and ended the night with a large kick start to the Century Club’s annual fund drive.

Valley City community members John and Diane Hill were recognized Tuesday night at the Century Club’s Fall Kickoff event after making a $15,000 contribution to the Century Club.

The Hills have been longtime supporters of VCSU and Viking athletics. They recently reached the “Diamond” giving level with the VCSU Foundation, which means they’ve donated more than $100,000 to VCSU in their lifetime. The Hills’ donation on Tuesday will go directly to Century Club athletic scholarships.

“Valley City State University has always had outstanding contributors, and John and Diane Hill just exemplified that with an impressive contribution,” said Jack Denholm, VCSU athletic director. “The Century Club, along with the university, thank them for their generous support, not only this year but from past years as well. These financial contributions help us attract and retain excellent student-athletes at VCSU.”

The VCSU Century Club raises thousands of dollars each year that helps support VCSU athletic scholarships. This year’s annual fund drive is now underway. To make a contribution, or to learn more about the Century Club and how it helps VCSU athletes, visithttp://www.vcsuvikings.com/VCSU_Century_Club
