CITY, ND – Rick Ross, Associate Professor of Career and Technical Education, in the Department of Technology at Valley City State University has been selected by his peers as President-Elect for the North Dakota Career and Technical Education Administration Association.

Ross will serve a two-year term.  The first year will be as president-elect, and the responsibilities include overseeing the public relations program for the organization.  The second year, he will serve as president of the organization with the responsibilities of presiding over meetings and perform the duties authorized in the constitution.

The mission of NDCTEA is to promote and develop Career and Technical Education in secondary and post-secondary schools in North Dakota.  Assist members in matters of organization, administration, and supervision of programs at the local level. 

Promote Career and Technical Education by keeping the people of the state informed through a public relations program. 

Foster close integration of Career and Technical Education within the total education system. 

Promote and develop affirmative legislative action pertaining to Career and Technical Education in North Dakota.
