(NewsDakota.com) – The Jimmie volleyball team is still over a week away from opening their season August 28th in Orange City, IA, but they got some good news when the preseason NAIA Top-25 poll was released. The University of Jamestown is ranked No. 24 in the first poll.

Their new conference rival, Viterbo, was the highest ranked conference team coming in at No. 4. The V-Hawks reached the national semifinals in 2014. The two teams will only met once and its October 17th in Des Moines.

Being ranked early in the season is important to receiving an at-large bid to the national tournament should the Jimmies not win a third-consecutive NSAA title in 2015.
