N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – James/Valley FOP Lodge #4 recently hosted a presentation from a representative of the North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System to learn about PERS.

The presentation was given to numerous members of the FOP and local law enforcement with representatives from the Stutsman County Commission, Jamestown City Council and the state. FOP Liaison Nellie Degen stated that it would be up to those entities in order to approve this for local law enforcement.

PERS will allow officers the ability to make their own contributions to retire at an earlier date.
