N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Robert and Myra Olson of rural Jamestown along with the Stutsman County Sheriff’s office are wanting answers as to why their family dogs were shot on Sunday, August 9th.
According to a report, Gracie and Georgia Rose are Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs. Both animals were severely injured on August 9th when a vet discovered that Gracie was shot by a 22 caliber rifle and suffered a broken front leg. Georgia Rose was shot three times by a shotgun and received injuries to her front leg, left shoulder and lower abdomen area.
Both dogs will require extensive vet treatments and more vet care in the coming months. The family is unsure of medical expenses, but has set up a gofundme page to help alleviate the costs. If anyone has information, you can contact the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office at 701-252-9000.
