CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) Work to prevent future river bank erosion is underway once again in Valley City from VCSU’s Foss Music Hall to the City Park. Valley City Mayor Bob Werkhoven.

A couple of years ago river bank rip rap work was completed on the Sheyenne river bank to protect the Elks building in Valley City.

The flooding events of 2009 and 2011 eroded the river bank and damaged homes and property in Valley City.
