N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Downtown Association and University of Jamestown have announced that booth spaces is pretty full for the annual Community Block Party on August 27th.
The Block Party has become an annual event that invites in new and returning students to the University of Jamestown into the community. Businesses, organizations, church’s and groups will be able to display information about themselves for students to learn more about them. Committee Member with the University Lori Listopad stated that it’s a great way to reach out to the new students.
Last year’s event had more than 80 booths and over 3,000 people attend. All first-year students will attend as part of orientation activities. Returning students will also be in attendance. The Block Party will be held Thursday, August 27th from 5 pm to 8 pm on Main street in Jamestown.
