N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The American Red Cross continues to assist those in need in Saipan after ‘Typhoon Soudelor’ directly hit the small island late Sunday night. Only gas power generators are providing power and water supplies are scarce.

Volunteers Paul and Barb Henke of Valley City will be heading to Saipan for three weeks to help manage logistics for the operation.

The Henke’s departed this morning from Fargo and will serve the individuals of Saipan.
