N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for July 24th through the 30th.

According to Fire Chief Jim Ruether, the department responded to nine calls this past week, adding on to their total of 161 for the year so far. Last year, the fire department responded to 268 calls. You can view the full report as well as details, dates and times of the calls below.

July 24th, 8:38PM, fire department responded to 1101 2nd Ave NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of a kitchen fire. Fire was out upon arrival of fire units and firefighters investigated. Causer-oven range malfunctions. No injuries reported. Time out 25 minutes.

July 25th, 3:59AM, ready squad responded to 1300 2nd Place NE, Eventide, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-systems malfunction. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 40 minutes.

July 25th, 10:03AM, ready squad responded to 1615 2nd Place NE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 150ppm was detected. Cause-fuel firing appliance. Time out 30 minutes.

July 26th, 9:21AM, ready squad responded to 1300 2nd Place NE, Eventide, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-systems malfunction. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.

July 28th, 11:00PM, ready squad responded to 222 1st Ave South, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-power outage. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 35 minutes.

July 28th, 11:05PM, fire department responded to 1215 8th Ave NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of a person/s trapped in the elevator. Firefighters removed one person from the elevator and investigated. Cause-power outage. Time out 35 minutes.

July 28th, 11:10PM, fire department responded to the area of 5th Ave and 5th St NE, to a report of a power line down and sparking. Firefighters stood by until Otter Tail Power Company was on scene. Cause-high winds. No injuries reported. Time out 1 hour.

July 29th, 7:35AM, ready squad responded to 1404 1st Ave North, Bethel 4 Acres, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.

July 29th, 1:40PM, ready squad responded to 705 11th St SE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate beeping noise from detector. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-low battery in carbon monoxide detector. Time out 25 minutes.
