N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The southeastern North Dakota communities of Lisbon and Milnor are the beneficiaries of a major gift from the estates of two elderly Ransom County ranchers.

91-year old Russell Brown and 90-year old Dale Brown both recently passed away.

Wes Well of the Lisbon Community Endowment Fund says the Brown brothers financial gift will be a perpetual fund, meaning only the interest from the donations will be distributed on a yearly basis.

The money will be given to local non-profits and city run operations like libraries, fire departments and park and recreation programs who apply.
