(NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown entered their final doubleheader of the season with a chance to avoid being the No. 10-seed in the state legion tournament for a second consecutive season. They needed to win once and they ended up winning both in convincing fashion. Jamestown took the opener 11-0 and won the second 12-2.
Tyler Ukestad worked the first game on the mound picking up the win in the 10-rule shortened five-inning affair.
Jamestown will be the No. 8-seed in Tuesday’s state tournament in Dickinson. They will play the hosts, No. 9-seed Dickinson, at 6pm CT.
