On May 22, Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser told the truck regulatory board that Gillespie would not be allowed to act as a peace officer in Stutsman County following a felony traffic stop by Gillespie and four other peace officers on May 20.
On May 29, Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin pulled Gillespie’s peace officer license.
A Barnes County Grievance committee recommended reinstating Gillespie’s peace officer license following a four hour hearing. But Sheriff McClaflin rejected the committee’s recommendation.
