ND – The North Dakota State Fair is underway in Minot. On Monday, July 20, you can help people from all over the state by donating food. The fair’s food drive will benefit families from Williston to Fargo. 100 percent of the nonperishable food items and cash donated will be given to The Salvation Army of North Dakota.
As an added bonus, those who donate Monday will receive $1 off the price of admission at the North Dakota State Fair, courtesy of Pride of Dakota.
Donating is easy, show up at the fairgrounds with your food items and hand them off to Salvation Army volunteers stationed at the gates.
The Salvation Army has locations in Bismarck, Fargo, Grand Forks, Jamestown, Minot and Williston, as well as extended services in every county of the state.
Lt. Col. Robert Thomson, Salvation Army Northern Division leader said “We’re so thankful the North Dakota State Fair thought of us and thought to consider using a state event to help families statewide.”
If you can’t make it to the fair, you can still help by donating online. The Salvation Army is also in need of volunteers.
