(NewsDakota.com) There are only six vehicles like them on the roads today, and one of them will be in the area this weekend.
The legendary Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will be making a stop in Oakes on Sunday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Miller’s Fresh Foods.
The Wienermobile has been in existence since 1936; when the first one was created by Oscar Mayer’s nephew, Carl G. Mayer. Drivers of the vehicles are known as “Hotdoggers” and “Wienerwhistles” (small hot dog shaped whistles) are traditionally handed out to the public.
