(NewsDakota.com) The Kindred Post 117 American Legion baseball team is hosting the 2015 North Dakota Class B American Legion Southeast Region Baseball Tournament next week. After two wins against LaMoure Post 19 on Thursday at Townsend Field, Kindred will have the number one seed to start their post-season run.
Post 117 ended the regular season with a mark of 16-2 in the region after defeating Post 19 16-1 in five innings in game one, and 13-0 in four and a half innings in game two. Kindred picked up 14 hits in the first game, and another 13 in game two.
On the mound, Reid Myers allowed three hits and struck out 10 in the first game, while Fletcher Andel allowed just one hit and put down six.
Post 19 (10-8) scored their lone run in the doubleheader in the third inning of the first game. Brady Warcken reached on a triple, and scored on a wild pitch.
