N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Former Foster County Auditor Roger Schlotman has pleaded guilty to a count of Public Servant Refusing to Perform Duty.

According to court records, two counts of Misapplication of Entrusted Property, two counts of Criminal Conspiracy and one count of Tampering with Public Records have been dismissed after Schlotman’s attorney reached an agreement with the Wells County State’s Attorney Kathleen Murray, who was acting in place of Foster County State’s Attorney Paul Murphy. Schlotman entered his plea admitting he had failed to sign the minutes, but denied that he had done anything else wrongful.

Meanwhile, the trial for Foster County Commissioner James Carr is set for November 30th. Carr faces two felony Criminal Conspiracy charges. Misdemeanor charges of Tampering with Public Records were dismissed against Carr.
