N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Awareness and support will be abundant during the 2nd Annual Ride to Silence the Stigma in Jamestown on July 19th.

Margo Haut, Chairperson of the event and Committee Member of Unite To Silence the Stigma, stated that the event first started last year and the turnout was larger than expected.

The ride was first created when Dave and Beth Lautt approached Margo after participating in the 2013 Out of Darkness walk event in memory of their son Thomas Doyle. The ride was then created to help raise the awareness and prevention of suicide.

Registration and more information on the ride will be available at Stutsman Harley Davidson on July 19th beginning at 11:00 AM and cars are welcome. Senator Heidi Heitkamp will kick off the event before the ride. Tickets will be available for $25 per person and $10 for each additional rider. Door prizes from the event include $500 to Stutsman Harley Davidson and $200 to IDK in Jamestown. A Hog Roast will be held following the ride at IDK Bar & Grill.

Guest speaker DC Faber will hold a seminar on Saturday, July 18th from 10 AM to 2 PM in order to share his story and will also be available during the evening of the run.
