N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown School Board approved a resolution last night calling for a special election to approve $19 million in general obligation school building bonds.
If approved, the mills currently levied will be used for school construction and renovations at public elementary and middle schools. The request will be for a special election on September 29th. If approved, an addition will be added to the Louis L’Amour Elementary School and upgrades to Gussner, Roosevelt and Lincoln Elementary schools will take place.
With enrollment expected to increase to 2,300 students in the next five years, the board is taking steps to plan for the foreseeable growth.
