(NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Post 14 is winding down their season heading into the state tournament in two weeks in Dickinson. They have just one league doubleheader left after Wednesday’s split with Fargo Post 2.
Jamestown spent the weekend at the invite-only Gopher Classic in the Twin Cities and won two games. They beat Sioux Falls West (SD), 6-3, and Farmington (MN), 4-1, while losing their other three games. Post 14 lost to Eastview (MN), Chester Bird (MN) and eventual bracket champion Woodbury (MN).
The newly-named Phil Brown Classic will be played in Jamestown this weekend. Post 14 plays two games on Friday evening (2pm and 7pm).
