N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Names of both parties involved in a fatal crash that occurred on July 10th in Stutsman County on Highway 281 have been released.

75 year-old Frederick Lonas of Grants Pass, OR was killed when his bicycle was struck from behind by a 2007 Freightliner at around 6:35 PM Friday, July 10. According to the report, 44 year-old Daniel Blackman of Gackle, ND did not see Lonas when he struck him. Lonas was thrown from his bike and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway patrol.
