N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Senator Heidi Heitkamp was in Jamestown on June 30th to discuss issues for the city of Jamestown and state of North Dakota.
Senator Heitkamp started the meeting by announcing that she was always amazed at how much the community has grown since she last saw it. She also stated that the community has the tools to see so much more growth in the near future.
Heitkamp also talked about exports of oil,focusing on behavior and mental health services and the importance of reauthorizing the Export-Import Bank for North Dakota small businesses. Community leaders and chamber members asked questions about rail safety in the state, human trafficking, the cost of living, and also on higher education.
Heitkamp also made it a point to indicate that the Jamestown Arts Center be taken advantage of and it is a wonderful addition to the community.
