CITY, ND – The Ransom County Fund offered through the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation will provide grant opportunities to non-profit organizations in Ransom County. Grants received through this fund will be focused in the areas of basic human needs, arts, education, and environment.
Derek Jungels, SVCF board member said donors have the opportunity to work through the Community Foundation to make a local impact.
Andrea Nelson, Administrator of the SVCF said nonprofit organizations face many challenges such as decreased funding, strict financial regulations, locating matching grants, responding to emerging needs and a platform to connect with donors.
The Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation has been established to promote philanthropy and provides an opportunity for those with modest needs to give back and make an impact to the greater good of the community.
The Community Foundation is working to serve the needs of the communities in Griggs, Barnes, and Ransom Counties. The Community Foundation is currently seeking contributions to help grow the fund.
Nelson said we look to obtain the necessary support for the fund to hold its first grant round this fall.
She said contact us if you are interested in learning more about how you can be a part of this unique opportunity. Any size gift will provide a lasting effect to your community.
