N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Gackle, ND man was injured when he was struck while he was riding his bicycle south of Streeter at around 3:40 PM on June 21st.

According to Sgt. Tom Herzig with the NDHP, 55 year-old Michael Dean was riding his mountain bike along the edge of Highway 30 when he was struck from the rear by a Chevy pickup. Dean was wearing a helmet when he was thrown from the bike into the west ditch. 41 year-old pickup driver Shane Dockter pulled over and stopped. He was cited for improper passing.

Dean was transported to the JRMC for his injuries. The crash is still under investigation.
