N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has reported a crash involving a motorcycle and pickup truck on Interstate 94 near Jamestown on June 20th.

At around 4:55 PM, Lawrence Doll, 59, of Fargo was traveling westbound when he made an improper turn on a crossover west of the Highway 281 exit. Two other riders slowed and drove onto the left shoulder to avoid a collision. Michael Jones, 60, of Dickinson, was in the process of merging and was unable to avoid collision with the motorcycle.

Doll’s motorcycle slid onto its left side and came to rest on the left lane. Doll was thrown from the motorcycle and was not wearing a helmet, but he did have protective clothing. He suffered some scuffs and bruising and was able to walk off the driving lane. He was cited for care required.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
