N.d. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for May 29th through June 11th.
According to Fire Chief Jim Ruether, the department has responded to 118 total calls for the year so far. Several calls included response to accidental or unintentional fire alarm and carbon monoxide activation’s. One call to a garage fire caused by Juveniles was also reported. May 29th, 9:33AM, ready squad responded to 5855 3rd St SE, Cavendish Farms, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.
May 29th, 12:28PM, ready squad responded to 501 9th St NE, Ava Maria Village, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-systems malfunction. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 30 minutes.
May 31st, 11:42AM, ready squad responded to 731 1st St West, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0ppm was detected. Cause-battery. Time out 30 minutes.
June 1st, 8:56AM, fire department responded to 1514 6th Ave SW, Multi Family Dwelling, to a report of smoke on the back side of the structure. Firefighters extinguished a small fire in a cigarette trash container. Cause-discard smoking materials. Time out 25 minutes.
June 1st, 2:22PM, ready squad responded to 920 2nd Ave NW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0ppm was detected. Cause-battery. Time out 15 minutes.
June 2nd, 1:53PM, ready squad responded to 330 Business Loop West, Dairy Queen, to a report of smoke smell. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 20 minutes.
June 6th, 9:43AM, ready squad responded to 901 11th St SE, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate carbon monoxide detector activation. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 115ppm was detected. Cause-fuel burning appliance. Time out 25 minutes.
June 8th, 7:22AM, ready squad responded to 2605 Circle Drive, NDSH-Lahaug Building, to investigate tow fire alarm activation’s. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-water flow alarm and burnt toast. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.
